She listened to what he said and wondered if he knew how calming his voice really was. What he said, it made her relax a little. And she knew it could be true, but that he was saying it to make her feel better. She let it work, because the alternative was unbearable.
When his arms tightened around him she sighed softly. She was glad he was here, that she didn't have to face this alone. But on the other hand she was determined to keep him safe. Abigail would be damned before she was completely alone. Booth was a good and more pure man than he knew she couldn't let that be taken away. Not to mention he had a son that even if he couldn't see him right now he had to think about.
"I'm afraid of losing you too Booth. If King is.." She pursed her lips a minute and got control of herself, biting back the tears. "You're all I got left."
