Jasper felt a pang of guilt at her words, knowing that she was right. He had not paid the missing persons posters that he saw around the city any mind until it was Bella who was missing. Worried that his own inattention might be a sign of the apathy of what he would meet now, he shuddered. Poor Edward.
"I would appreciate any help that you could give." he said sincerely. "I've done a good deal of looking myself, but I know that the more people you have searching for someone, the better your chances are of finding them." Trying to reward her for her assistance, or perhaps just in an effort to ease his own guilt for not caring earlier about other disappearances, he sent a wave of peaceful, calm emotions toward her. She seemed calm enough, and with the way that not everyone in this city was human Jasper had no way to tell if it would even work, but it couldn't hurt and it was all that he could do. "She means a great deal to my family," he said frankly. "She's the world to my brother, so finding her, making sure she's safe...it's imperative."
