Interesting. Very interesting. Jonnard offered her a slight smile at her explanation, nodding in understanding, "I can do that as well," He said. Perhaps on a smaller scale than she could, but his mother had made sure that he was attuned to the energy that run through the world. And he had worked to improve that ability since he needed that power in order to detect those who would be a threat to him. "The ley lines are just points where that energy intersects, where it's strongest. The power that people like me command is typically drawn from those intersections."
Even if she didn't called herself a Magicker, she clearly was one. The repercussions of the secrecy binding hadn't kicked in, and he was only allowed to discuss his powers with people like him. Either that, or the binding didn't extend into this place, wherever he had ended up. "Magickers use our crystals to channel that energy," He said, biting his lower lip before glancing down at his crystal and holding it out to her.
This could potentially be a very bad move. Willing handing over your crystal to someone else was a mistake that he would regret terribly if she happened to be very good at hiding ill motives. But he doubted that she could be playing dumb. "It gets cold when I've drained myself. It's a way for us to know when we've done more than we're capable of."
Pausing, Jonnard tilted his head to a side before asking carefully, "Have you heard of anything like that, or am I the first one of my kind to end up here?"
