Jonnard wished he had the energy to snark back, to actually clear the fog that had settled over his brain enough to construct something that existed in the realm of witty, but as his crystal went ice cold against his chest, Jonnard let his head fall back against the floor as he blinked up at the person who was standing over him.
He could feel the power radiating from her. It was like a bonfire, strong enough to singe the edges of his consciousness. And as he words filtered into his consciousness, Jonnard knew that it was a wise idea not to automatically go on the defensive with this one. While the threat of flaying him alive sounded less than serious in her tone, Jonnard knew all too well that she had the ability to follow through on the threat.
"Overextended myself," He said, the words coming out clipped and exhausted. "Don't know where I am. Was trying to find somewhere I could recover," He said, struggling to sit up and only falling back against the floor after struggling up two inches and finding that sitting up took far too much effort. "Honed in on the strongest source I could find."
