And Buffy figured it would've been Dawn, which she was most certainly not going to object to. In Buffy's mind, Dawn was first in line, it just so happened that Spike had been the one she ran into first at the hotel. She'd missed her sister, for one, but then there was the pure and simple fact that Dawn was her sister. She was top priority by default, and Buffy wanted to show her that she was going to finally make good of her promise to stick around. She'd abandoned her enough in the past. Dawn was far too important to Buffy to just let her slip away.
Listening to Spike's words as she stepped out of the elevator with him, Buffy had to wonder just what exactly had gone on while she was away. She knew Dawn was missing her, knew Dawn was worried and concerned, but she just knew somehow that that wasn't all there was to it. Still, she was hoping to get the facts straight from Dawn if she could. No need to go behind her back and find out that way if she didn't necessarily have to. Dawn would probably see that as a betrayal.
"I plan on it," she replied. "A cheesy movie, some ridiculous board games, the works. She's gonna get it all and then some."
