Buffy nodded a bit reluctantly. "She's grown up, alright," she replied, looking to be lost in thought once again, though it was only for a brief amount of time. She'd missed out on a lot of Dawn's growing up because of her Slayer duties, but leaving the country altogether didn't help that. She knew this, and she was determined not to make the same mistake twice. There were new threats out and about, but it was different than Sunnydale, and maybe with Dawn closeby, they could really be the sisters they always should have been. "I'm not leaving her again, though. She might be able to handle it, but I don't want her to have to. I'm going to be there for her finally."
Stopping her sisterly tirade before it got too out of hand, Buffy chuckled in spite of herself. "And yet here you are, more caught up than I am right now." A pause. "But what would you have done once you found me?"
