WHO: Cordelia and Logan
WHAT: Paying a visit to the PTB.
WHEN: Right after this.
WHERE: Astral plane
RATING: PGish
STATUS: COMPLETE
After spending a good portion of the night before, and most of the morning, trying to find Darla's new hideout and failing rather successfully, Cordelia had finally decided that enough was enough. Time was running out and she knew that the blonde wasn't kidding around. If they didn't get Angel to her soon (or find where she was and take her out), Kathy was going to pay with her life.
So it was with a heavy heart but no small amount of determination that Cordelia approached Logan during his little powwow with Peter, Willow, and a newly-arrived Faith. Within ten minutes or so of that, the two of them were leaving the Hyperion and on their way to one of the hotspots that served as a gateway to the realm where the Powers That Be resided. Provided you were invited to pass through said gateway, of course.
Staring at the large, seemingly delapidated building, the Seer sighed heavily and glanced at the man beside her. "Okay," she said, her tone sounding almost dull to her ears, "a few warnings, not that I really expect you to listen, but I need to say them anyway." There was a hint of a smile there, although it didn't quite reach her eyes. "First and foremost, these are my bosses, for lack of a better word. They're also higher powers. Not necessarily Gods, but beings who don't have a solid form and who don't have an understanding of linear time as we know it. They have the ability to blow the back of my skull clear off if they so choose, so I'm going to ask you to please keep that in mind while we're talking to them because they're pretty good at making people frustrated enough to want to hurt them. Badly."
Not that it was possible to harm the PTB - at least not in any physical sense of the word - but Cordelia wasn't worried about that. Logan had a mouth on him that rivaled her own and, while it was usually quite a source of amusement (and a definite turn-on) for her, she wanted this meeting to go as smoothly as possible. Especially since she had a feeling that the higher beings weren't going to like her request and weren't going to be very willing to grant it. At least, not at first.
