Took an oath and I'm going to stick it out until the end
WHO: Gabriel and Elisabeth Braddock. WHAT: Liz is pregnant and reveals as much to the werewolf. WHEN: Late afternoon/evening, three weeks after they've been dating. WHERE: Gardens. RATING: PG-13. STATUS: INCOMPLETE.
Elisabeth had been in high spirits ever since she met the werewolf Gabriel. She was completely infatuated and unphased by his 'secret,' choosing to show him that she too was far from a 'normal' human by revealing herself as a mutant. He reminded her of home. He made her laugh and excited and feel as if hope still lingered in dark places. Not that she had ever disliked Los Angeles, but it had its high's and low's. The first night they'd met she wanted him, needed him. From that night forth, if it was within reason, she found as much time to spend with him as possible, no longer tripping over sorrowful memories of those past. She had fallen so fast, and yet she held no regrets over it.
It started the same way it had for women years before; tenderness, nausea, sensitivity to scent. At first, Elisabeth was floored. While it was bound to happen at some point, she certainly hadn't been expecting so soon. And yet a part of her was elated that Gabriel was the father, assuming he wanted a part to play as such. She paced her room for most of the morning, biting at her thumb, moving things, combing her hair. She was unsure of how he would take it and thus unsure of when, where, or how she would tell him.
Finally, Elisabeth picked up her cell phone and speed dialed him, asking for him to meet her at the botanic gardens. She chose a light magenta dress with green high heels and waited on a stone with her legs crossed, the foot bouncing at maddening rate. She just hoped he was understanding...
