Spike did his best not to focus on the girl that he was rescuing. Just the fact that he was happened to be enough for him. Looking at her face, taking in the same appearance that he had spent so many nights obsessing over -- it wasn't something that Spike enjoyed. Not when he knew that it was an entirely different person. She's not Buffy, Spike thought to himself as he sped out of the parking lot. At the thought of the Slayer, his chest twisted painfully.
As soon as he was certain that they had rid themselves of the demon, Spike pulled the motorcycle into a nearby gas station and switched the engine off. "Need to fill her up," he told Kathryn. "After that I'll drop you off home. Or wherever." That being said, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a crumpled handful of bills. Most of the money he'd earned during poked games, but there was the few favors that he pulled in for people that paid him off pretty well too. Whatever the case, he had enough money to keep his cigarette, room, and gas supply going. Spike turned to head into the store, then glanced over his shoulder. He didn't look directly at Kathryn as he said, "And I did tell you so." Digging into his jacket, he pulled out the flask and tossed it at her. "It's good for vampires and demons. There's some holy water left so I suggest you make good use of it." That said, he ventured off and paid the cashier for his fill on gas, then strode back toward the bike and Kathryn and set to work and filling up the tank.
