Kathryn really had been enjoying herself in L.A. so far. So many people for her to manipulate, so many people left vulnerable from whatever else was going on in their lives to make it far too easy for her to swoop in, plant some maniacal idea in their head, and move on. She hadn't done too much yet, but the people she'd encountered gave her a hope for the future, so to speak. What could she say? She just liked ruining lives. Really, though, it wasn't that she liked ruining lives. She just liked to have the power it took to set some devastating plan into motion, and then watch it from afar with her hands completely clean. It had happened back home with Sebastian, and she was eager for it to happen to that extent here, as well.
That didn't mean she intended on destroying Sam's life. In fact, she really didn't know what she wanted with him when she first stepped into the seedy-looking bar. A bit of entertainment to stop her sudden strike of boredom as night fell, for one thing, but beyond that? Well, she would wait and see.
Spotting him wasn't difficult, and she smirked wide as she made her way up to the bar and leaned against it right next to him. "Good evening," she purred, putting on the same old act of both innocence and kindness she'd always used even back at Manchester Prep. It was how she'd earned her spotless reputation there, after all, even if the whole incident with her stepbrother smeared it beyond recognition. But that was then, this was now.
