Charlie smiled initially, then shrugged a bit at his question, pulling a nihgttable lamp from another bag and opening the box up while she talked. "I guess it is. Lots of people say there ain't no way back to where we came from. An' to be honest, Hiro... there ain't much there for me to go back to."
Charlie looked up at him. "Back home, I had the diner. But here, there's you, and... well, the other you, and Nathan's offered me a job. I mean, it's scary sometimes, with vampires and demons an' things, but I know you ain't ever gonna let anything happen to me." She gave a shrug. "That's enough for me."
