Following the full moon fiasco, Oz really hadn't been feeling up to doing much of anything. Having almost wiped out half the staff of Angel Investigations bothered him, but really it was him having killed the client that haunted him the most. She had come to them for help and had died as a result. Not only was it bad for business, it just didn't sit well on his conscience.
Cordelia, however, had refused to leave him alone about it. As much as Oz had issues with the former cheerleader, he had to admit she was good at pep talks. Typically they involved hearing things you didn't want to hear at the time, but you could count on her to wrap it all up in a neat little nutshell and force you to accept it, bitter truth and all.
This had been no different and so now, a week after the incident, not only had he willingly left his own room, he'd left the hotel, too. Not for good, as he'd originally wanted to do the morning after the attack. No, he was just going for a walk. Cabin fever, or maybe it was hotel fever in this case, had set in and he needed to get away for a while.
The streets of Los Angeles were a good place to get your mind off your troubles. It was hard to think about your own issues when faced with the destruction of the city as well as the constant need to be on alert for any demons that might consider you an easy target.
So far, he'd been lucky. He'd been walking for about an hour or so and hadn't come across a single vampire or other beastie that wanted to see his insides on the outside. He was prepared in case he did cross paths with them, but he was grateful he'd yet to do so.
Not that he'd be objectionable to other forms of interaction. Just preferably not ones that involved him having to fight, then flee for his very life.
