A day at Disneyland took a lot out of a kid. Had the little girl not been so terribly exhausted, by now she would have realized that something was most definitely up. However, as it were, the adrenaline from the day was wearing off, and Kathy found herself nearly dozing off by the time her brother lifted her again, hardly listening to the words he spoke.
"Okay," she repeated sleepily, utterly agreeable. Giving him one last smile as she automatically buckled her seatbelt, the child leaned her head against the window, watching the scenery go by as she felt eyelids growing heavier and heavier.
