Of course he was interested. He was right, she knew he would be. It would be foolish of him not to have an active interest in his newest foe. Especially one as powerful as Peter.
"Hmm," she murmured, pretending to think about what she wanted in exchange for the information. Darla already knew perfectly well what she wanted. Or, at least, part of her request. But it was fun to drag it out just a bit, help build up the suspense. Besides, the extra speed in Lindsey's heart was like music to her ears.
Her gaze went back to the files as she considered her options for a moment before finally looking across the table at him. Her eyes were shining with merriment, her lips quirked upward into a smirk.
"I have plans in motion to bring my boy back," she confided in him. "I want to make absolutely certain that my attempts aren't derailed." Done with being obscure, Darla decided to get right to the point.
"I need a place for him to rest while he's transformed back into a vampire. A place where those do-gooders can't reach. I also want you to make certain there there is no possible way he can be cursed with that damned soul again." Honestly, she didn't care how he managed either task. The first one she assumed would simply involve placing Angelus in an undisclosed location that the white hats couldn't locate. As for the second... well, Darla had never paid much attention to how her boy had been given that damned soul of his, aside from the fact that the gypsies were to blame. But she figured Lindsey would likely know, and would therefore be able to destroy whatever items might be needed so as to ensure it didn't happen again.
However he did it, though, didn't matter. Darla simply wanted Angelus back at her side where he belonged, and she was going to get what she wanted no matter what it took.
