Lindsey moved to the window to glance out at his secretary before going back to the desk. Picking up the phone, he called security to send someone up to look at the woman before hanging up. "That saves me having to go over new applicants," he stated.
He watched her moving around his office, studying her quietly. She hadn't changed, not in the aging way vampires were immune to, but she was just as she he remembered the last time they'd seen each other. Just as seductive, lovely, and deadly. "Well, I am male so that makes it suitable for me."
She had him at the sleep part. Lindsey shrugged, his shoulders staying tensed for a beat longer than usual before relaxing. "It's tough work running a law firm," he replied, the small smile that had been there a moment earlier fading. Pushing away from from where he leaned against the desk, he followed her into the executive meeting room.
"You know all too well I am," he replied, feeling his heart pick up a beat in speed from anticipation. He crossed to the other side of the table, across from her. "What are you looking for in exchange?"
