Valek felt the laser strike his brain, to be say it hurt didn’t cover the agony that run through him as it traveled through the protective covering of his skull. The scream that exited him vibrated off the walls, striking back in an inhuman wail of pain. It was a pain that the ancient vampire had never felt before nor a weapon he had seen before. He abruptly released the Master’s throat as a mixed expression of pain and shock passed across his striking white features. For a moment his inhuman eyes fell upon the Doctor behind the Master as if to ask ‘what has he done?’ before he crumbled like a rag doll to the ground below. His arms extended but together and his legs parted slightly as he had landed on his side. Long raven ringlets had fallen about his skull like a sinister halo. A devilish angel lying motionless on the earthen floor, defenseless and unconscious though he looked more like an attractive corpus.
