Logan didn't know which was worse, the mental or emotional exhaustion from the internal battle. The actual fight was nothing. The one that had been raging inside his head was brutal and vicious. He needed air, time away from everyone. Logan had thought about leaving a note, but it wasn't like him at all. He'd be back when he got back.
More than anything he wanted to help them, but if he stuck around and loss control.. He didn't want to think about the damage and carnage that would be left in his wake. Lighting a cigar he started walking around the block. Now more than anything he wished like hell everything was quiet again. Logan wasn't sure how he'd react if anyone approached him in the wrong way.
He'd checked in on Kathy and listened outside Marie's door for a moment. Everything seemed fine. But if he stabbed her again, or worse he didn't want to put her through the pain she'd endured of absorbing him before. Not to mention everyone in the hotel had been through enough this night anyway. Though, getting obliterated right now sounded good. No one knocked him out like Marie.
That girl could knock even him on his ass for a good couple of days. That was just what he needed. The only thing keeping him from doing just that was the fact she didn't need to see the things going through his mind right now. Not to mention he didn't know if she drew both sides of him out or not. The last thing the girl needed was to deal with the mental struggle he was right now.
Logan rationalized that he needed to be awake to help them clean everything up and get everyone settled in. Sitting down on a curb he rest his head in his hands, cigar between his fingers. Then there was the fact that they could be under attack again. What if that was just the first wave? No, he had to be tactical and suck it up.
The veins in his temples were showing and he closed his eyes, trying to get everything to just calm down. Last thing he needed was Nathan right now approaching him. The guy didn't like him, not that Logan cared. Hell, only thing keeping him from tearing him apart was Cordelia. He'd never hurt her like that. But there was only so much Logan could take and if the guy kept being out of line he'd let him know it wasn't going to cut it.
But right now he didn't need to think of anything that upset him. Think calm, happy thoughts. He snorted at his own thought. Suddenly he wished he hadn't trashed that motorcycle. Right now a hard fast ride, the wind blowing against his skin was just the remedy.
His knuckles were throbbing from the claws coming out earlier. His whole body had healed though he still felt the pain that had been inflicted. Sighing he closes his eyes, trying to deal with the chaos in his head.
