Oh, thank God! Cordelia thought with a sense of grim satisfaction as Charlie turned out to, in fact, be a very good shot indeed. She watched as the demon batted angrily at the dart sticking out of his neck, his enormous antlers swinging to and fro and the slime oozing from his skin splattering across the patrons trying to escape the rampage and carnage. Counting backward silently - knowing a Chaos demon was no match for the tranquilizer meant to drop a full-fledged Slayer - she waited until she'd reached one and the demon's eyes rolled back in his head before she struck out with her sword once more.
His head slid away from his body and Cordelia hastily side-stepped the disembodied corpse as it fell. Already she was turning to another demon, narrowing avoiding being impaled in the shoulder by its antlers. Raising her katana, she sliced off a few of its fingers as it reached for her then chanced a quick glance at Charlie before motioning to the back door and holding up four fingers.
Which was, of course, when she noticed the teenagers who were trying to go out the back door... directly into the alley and into the waiting arms of the four demons who were waiting.
It was likely a good thing that she couldn't speak at the moment, because the curse of frustration that would have passed her lips would have made most sailors blush.
