As luck would have it, Charlie was a good shot. All those almost-uncles had seen to it. She remembered her lessons the way she remembered everything else. Perfectly.
As she drew and aimed, another surge of people moved, running out of her way. That was fine. Charlie focused, used those seconds to correct her aim, and, when the path was clear, fired a round off, striking the demon in the base of the neck.
Pushing aside the thought that she'd just shot a demon, Charlie stepped to the side, moving further into the bar to check on Cordelia, and get a view of the back door in case any more decided to come in.
