Angela had always been a soft touch when it came to her grandchildren. The thought of pulling away from their grasp or denying the pleading that was reflected in her eyes didn't even cross her mind. Besides, this silence would probably be good for her and Nathan. This way, they wouldn't even be tempted to argue. It would be an impossibility even if they wanted to.
As the three of them paused next to Nathan, Angela was barely able to suppress the amused smirk that crossed her face at Nathan's mute agitation. As he returned with the chair, Angela offered him a thankful smile before pushing up on her heels to kiss his cheek. At least she could express gratitude without any difficulty.
Sitting herself down, Angela grinned as she scooped Monty up onto her lap, tickling his stomach playfully before turning her gaze curiously down at the mess of objects on the floor.
