Even though she was not shocked she still looked at him with newly inspired curiosity. He was a different race after all and she wanted to see a turtle-like human or was it... human like turtle. She didn't think he was human like at all. That was like saying she was human like because she was bipedal and had two eyes, a nose and a mouth. Maybe human's were Twi'lek like. You get my drift.
Unfortunately her hope that he could talk dissipated when he pointed and gestured and made a go at signaling that he was in the same boat she was. Her Lekku twitched and moved with subtle Twi'lekenese but he didn't have head tails so she doubted he spoke her language. Not too many people beside other Twi'leks could anyways. So....she pointed to her lips and moved her hand in a slashing "no go" gesture.
This really put a hamper on getting to know someone.
She smiled despite the impairment and then gave him a nod. That was as good a greeting as this was gonna get. In her mind she thought, at least we'll have something to talk about later....that is...if we can ever talk again. Aayla even tried clearing her throat but no sound came out.
