Luckily for Sam, Trance was already up, not that she ever really slept in the first place. But she was already decked out in her pajamas when she heard the exclamation of pain and the heavy thuds that signified something hitting the floor.
"Sam?" Trance questioned as she moved from the kitchen where she had been working on getting things together to make a decent breakfast and slipped back to the small hallway that lead to the two bedrooms. Pausing at one end of it, Trance's eyes went wide as she spotted Sam on the floor. "Are you all right? What happened? Oooo, what's that?" She asked, her tone changing from concerned to interested as she spotted the wooden box on the floor.
She was sure that wasn't there yesterday.
But, first thing was first. Moving over to Sam's side, Trance reached out to rest her hand on his back where he was rubbing, a soft frown on her face, "You're going to have a bruise, but there's no serious damage. What happened?"
