Elisabeth pouted, whining, "Awwww, but I wanted to name you Frumpylumpkins or my pudding pop." Though she didn't physically laugh, her eyes did, reflected by her ear-to-ear smile. "But if it means getting to know you better, then I suppose a wittier nickname is worth it, yeah?"
She followed his gaze, stepping up next to him and lightly bumping her hip into his. "Maybe? Don't sound too thrilled, Adam, I only have self-esteem and feelings here." Certainly wasn't the reaction Scout had given when she mentioned something similar. Funny how different boys could be sometimes. She turned so that she could link her arm into his backwards, leaving them shoulder to shoulder with him looking at the city and her looking at the landscape behind them. She leaned in so that when she whispered, her lips would brush against his earlobe. "Maybe I can change your mind?" Maybe this whole thing was a means to fill something in her, but she wasn't about to analyze shit. And while part of her was merely toying with him, the other part was partially interested. Either way, this was much more fun than that scaly bugger from earlier.
