Lex had somehow returned his ability, and when he did that he had replaced it with more strength than Mikhail had ever felt it possess. His power was stronger and more effective than it had been in his ancestors and sometimes he felt it pulsing in his veins. It was refreshing and so very alive and after what seemed like decades of having it lost to him, he was an addict who needed a fix around the clock.
Chloe was pissing him off. The taster wasn’t a good idea and hearing it hit the floor brought out another sinister smile. He straightened himself back up and yanked at her hair harder. He was sure that he ripped out a few strands when he did it, and he hoped that it hurt. Leaning down, with his mouth close to her ear, he flexed the fingers of his hand and whispered so that only she would be able to hear.
“Lead me to a room, any room that you want. It must be abandoned and there must not be any weapons in it. And don’t you dare scream or make any sort of noise that will attract attention. It will not be tolerated.”
