Mantis couldn't sense any malice coming from the vampire.. but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous. He certainly wasn't going to take any chances-- not after what had happened.
I have no say in who lives here, he spoke after a moment, watching the other male with his pale gray gaze, penetrating even through the gas-mask and from across the distance between them. You will speak to Cordelia. After all, Cordelia had been there the longest, and as far as he was aware, she as good as owned it. Things were fairly simple in that fashion in Mantis' mind.
He made a gesture, beckoning the other man closer, turning back toward the doors and glancing over his shoulder briefly. Whatever she decides, you will abide by that decision. If you attempt to argue or display aggression, I will remove you from the premises by force. For anyone who knew Mantis, they'd know that he wasn't deliberately attempting to be insulting--he simply didn't know how to be kind.
The doors opened, and he slipped inside, holding them open telekinetically for Nomak. At the same time, he was already searching for and finding Cordelia, brushing as gently as he could across her consciousness.
