Grinning at Trance, Sarah checked the bus schedule in her bag and then sat on the bench when they reached the stop. "We'll have to wait a few minutes, but it's good we're here now or we would have had to wait a lot long," she said, grinning up at Trance. Given how much energy the girl before her seemed to have, Sarah wasn't certain she would sit the few minutes wait, which was fine.
"So you're from the future." Rather than a question, it was a statement, as the continued references to the sun and beauty really did make Sarah suspect that it was a time after pollution had had its way with places like Los Angeles, even without the very telling remark about recognizing the position of a whole planet.
"How far?" She had met others from times all over, including the future and galaxies far away, so the idea wasn't so strange. Was she from far away as well as from the future?
