"You can come back to my apartment, if you like," Sarah offered with another smile. Yes, Trance was a perfect stranger, but Sarah had never been one to send someone on their way when she might help them instead. Even years living in New York hadn't made her entirely world weary, so her first consideration wasn't 'will this person harm/kidnap/kill me' as another might have thought first. Besides, she had several things in her bag for protection should her judgment ever be wrong. She might be friendly and optimistic, but she wasn't completely without sense.
"I need to head in that direction to check on Guinevere – my kitten," she clarified, in case Trance might think she meant another person. "You can even use my computer. There's a message board everyone uses, so you could see if there's anyone here you know." She eyed the sky, bright with daylight now, but not always. "The city isn't exactly safe come nighttime."
