When the act of violence had ceased, the Catwoman stood, partially cloaked in shadow. Her blue-green eyes had narrowed behind their goggles and she watched the newcomer cautiously, her gloved-hand poised over her cat o'ninetails to unsheathe it at a moment's notice. At first, she had been so startled by his sudden appearance that it took her a few moments longer than it should have to recognize who it was.
She should have known.
It was the Batman.
"So," the Cat began, her voice so low and seductive that it almost sounded like a purr, "it looks like we're back to where we were before...." She didn't have to elaborate, because they both knew. Selina doubted that either of them would ever forget what they had together.
"Though, I have to admit," she said, "I'm a bit surprised to see your mug around here." And here she thought she was the only one who had gotten ripped out of Gotham City. Well, it certainly explained the Dark Detective's extended absence.
