Angel's eyes widened in surprise. That...was not what he was expecting to be wrong with her. Not that giving birth was wrong in any way. Briefly, his mind wandered back to Darla, to the moment in which she'd ended her undead life so that Connor could live, but quickly shoved the thought aside.
He didn't really know much about the birthing process, how long it would take, what would happen...but thought fast and gently picked Claire up, pulling her into his arms bridal style and lifting her off the ground with ease.
"It's going to be alright," he assured her, stepping out of her room and kicking the door into the empty room to her right open. What little he did know was that it was going to be...messy, and thus was assumed that she probably didn't want to do this in her own room.
Setting her down gently on the bed, he moved back to the doorway and poked his head out.
