Meeting!
When Claire moved into the room, Nathan moved until he could give her hand a gentle squeeze, recognizing the nervous sound for what it was. Thus situated, he turned his attention to Elaine. And promptly stared. They were here about a duck. Not only a duck, but some rare one suited to Peter's special soul. Nathan wasn't certain whether he should laugh or inquire as to her sanity.
"I do know Peter pretty well," he stated, glancing briefly to Charlie, "and I'm with Charlie – how exactly do you know what my brother's soul wants? What more," he waved the brochure a bit, "this is L.A. we're talking about here, as well as a rare, unique duck from Asia. We're not gonna be able to go out and find one."
Sarah had been reading the brochure silently until then, a wide, amused smile on her face, but now she spoke up, gaze on Nathan. "Why not?" she questioned. "We're all here and not all of us are exactly native to L.A." She hadn't questioned Elaine's certainty that Peter wanted a Mandarin duckling, because it didn't seemed farfetched that this girl might well know exactly what someone wanted and needed. "If this is what Peter needs, we'll find one."
