With people piling up in the doorway because she'd been waiting politely to be invited in, Sarah looked back over her shoulder with a slight embarrassed flush and stepped inside so the others could come in as well.
"Sorry," she said, tossing the others a sheepish look, which included Elaine, as she still hadn't wanted to just barge in, open door or not.
With the door no longer barricaded, Nathan stepped back and waved to the door. "Gabriel, Charlie, after you," he said, giving them both a wide smile, held slightly longer on Gabriel because it was obvious the man wasn't exactly comfortable. He could see they'd have to have a chat and clear the air about the arrival of Heidi and the boys, as he wasn't angry anymore and hadn't even stayed angry all that long that day.
Once they'd gone through the door, he followed them inside.
