After a brief pause, Nathan shrugged slightly. "Yes. In a way. I know the Hiro from back in my own time," he explained. "I don't really know this Hiro." And he honestly wasn't certain this Hiro would ever want to know him, all things considered.
"Did you meet him when you came here?" he asked, getting up to turn on the coffee maker. Lingering a few minutes had turned into an intent to stay, which meant more coffee. And it never failed, he made coffee and then invariably someone would get rid of the rest of the pot to make something far weaker. Given he couldn't stand it that weak, he'd set that aside and make another pot. It was a vicious cycle, but he realized that was what came from sharing a kitchen with a hotel of people.
