"Maybe someone else can try an' explain this to me, but under the Code of Civil Procedure 170.3, it makes it seem like the judge in a case has the right and responsibility to disqualify themselves for a case, if any of the circumstances listed are met. Ain't that giving the judge a little too much say? I mean, if they do stand t' benefit from a case, ain't they gonna try an' stay anyway? I'd hope that a judge was honorable enough to do the right thing, but it's sad that the world don't just work out like that, ain't it?"
