The last thing Nathan expected to see upon re-entering his temporary prison of earlier – otherwise known as the Hyperion kitchen on any other day that didn't involve door locks and Angela Petrelli working together – was someone reading the book he'd left behind. Not that reading in the kitchen was so shocking, or that he only read things only he'd enjoy, but that book wasn't one he'd recommend to anyone for casual reading material. Yet apparently someone in this hotel was interested.
That alone was reason enough to stick around a few minutes – preferably with the open door in his line of vision.
"Anything interesting?" he asked with a smile, resting his elbows on the countertop. He likely should have told her it was his book outright, but he was curious why she was reading it.
