It was a well-established fact than Nathan hugged his family, openly and frequently – at least those members he wasn't constantly at war with – and with that statement right there, Nathan realized all the big brothering he'd affected as a ruse once had become increasing less affected and more real all along, to the point where it wasn't anything but wholly felt for real. This girl, who he'd have never met if he hadn't come here, was becoming more and more like the sister he'd never had, partially due to affection and partially because she had enough spirit and 'mouth' to easily make her a Petrelli. Not that, at the moment, that was much of a compliment so he kept it to himself.
Instead he hugged her with one arm, careful of his other hand with was now starting to throb. "You know, at first I thought I was just pulled here for Peter," he said quietly, "for us to save each other, but I'm beginning to understand I was pulled here for a lot more, namely to find people like you."
