Nathan had lost track of the time as well, first in just not being able to get his mind quiet and then coming downstairs to do something with said active mind. A plethora of legal-minded things surrounded him, all part of the plan to legally be a lawyer in this city. He wouldn't allow the lack of the proper certifications get him on a technicality, not when there was the fact of evil lawyers being in the mix. It meant extra work, but it was something he could sink his teeth into. He still liked law, even if he hadn't liked where it got him, and with the ability to do both this and go out and fight vampires and demons, his time was filled and he felt he was finally doing something useful.
He didn't look up immediately at Angela's entrance, as he wasn't unused to meeting people in here late at night, but when he did look up, he sighed quietly. As though this day hadn't already been noteworthy, apparently he'd now need to avoid a showdown. He looked back down, scribbling on the notepad in front of him for a moment before suddenly speaking.
"Oreos are in the cupboard to the left, in a box behind the cereal boxes," he said, closing a book. "Double-stuffed." Because who didn't like Oreos? It wasn't as though, knowing they were his mother's favorite, he'd picked them up on an impulsive whim during the last run for ice cream and cookies. Of course not. Not at all.
