Willow spun on Xander, her face a mask of pure, raw fury. "I told you to shut up," she hissed before backhanding him and yanking herself free from his grasp. Her attention turned back to Peter - just in time to get a punch to the face.
Blood instantly splattered as her nose broke under the force of the hit and she was sent reeling, head over heels, until finally bringing herself to a stop mid-air. Before she could hope to retaliate to Peter's attack, however, her heart gave a great lurch of pain and a muffled scream passed her lips.
Her hand went to her chest and she fell a few feet toward the ground before managing to catch herself. Her free hand shot out and the windows from a nearby building shattered. The shards of glass flew through the air toward Peter while, at the same moment, a wave of magic nearly as wide as the street itself and as tall as a four story building was hurled his way.
Cordelia, who had been watching the scene take place while slipping in and out of consciousness, summoned up as much air as she could and managed to rasp out, "Xander..."
There wasn't emotion in the tone. It wasn't a confession of love from the former beauty queen. Rather she held a vial tightly in her hand and held it out for him to take. The cure. The only thing that would undo the damage caused to Willow's magical core. "Take it," she wheezed, a few splatters of blood passing her lips as she forced the words. She gave him a sardonic smile.
"It's time for you to save the world again, Zeppo."
