Nathan heard the roar and was ready, nearly setting off the flamethrower again if it hadn't been for Cordelia's plan. Taking only a second to stow the thing in the duffle to make it easier to grip, he moved forward and offer Cordelia his back.
"Hold on tight, I'm going to have my hands full," he said, waiting only long enough for her grip to be secure before launching himself forward and slightly up. For a moment, it might have appeared he was leaving House behind, but that wasn't the case. Sure, he might have considered threatening it, but there wasn't enough time. This was simply the element of surprise, to get the man and go without having to fight off a beating with House's cane. His arms were around House a moment later and then they shot skyward – not the most immediate route, going that high, but it put a distance between them and the creature straight off before he darted toward the rooftop of the apartment building.
He slowed as he descended, hovering about fifteen feet off the ground for a moment as he looked at House, nearly grinning. "So, now that we're almost there," he said conversationally to the man he still had a firm grip on despite what he was about to ask. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't drop you the rest of the way. And it better be good."
