"Oh, you were not," Cordelia replied. "You were concerned with figuring out how it was I had a seizure then was perfectly fine. You said it yourself. It's the puzzle that interests you, not the patients themselves." With a roll of her eyes, she glanced back to Nathan, then stopped whatever she'd been about to say and quickly looked back to House.
"... did you just pop some pills?" she questioned, even though she already knew the answer. With a heavy sigh (and having to refrain from smacking him in the head with her crossbow just because it would feel really good right now), she asked testily, "And just what would make you think that making yourself higher than a kite while we're fleeing for our lives was a good id-"
Her question was cut short as a loud roar of pure rage sounded from behind them. Quickly turning, her jaw tightened as the mate of the demon they'd killed rounded the corner... and started to quickly gain speed.
"Crap." Cordelia looked around, trying to access the situation. She wasn't sure how far or fast Nathan could fly with two people tagging along, and she really didn't want to take House to the Hyperion if she could help it. That just seemed to have bad idea written all over it. In several languages. In large, bold lettering.
Just as she was about to give up and decide they were left with no other choice, she spotted a nearby, familiar building and grinned slightly. "Nathan," she spoke, her arm raised as she pointed to their destination. "See the building with the pink blinds on the fifth floor? It's to the right of the clock tower. We need to get to that building, now."
