The Doctor looked over his shoulder, taking a couple of uneasy steps back, well-aware than he had no chance of outrunning such a man. He flung the carrot to the ground and patted at his coat in a hope of finding something a little more useful. He didn't have enough time, and he was rather surprised to see the vampire back in font of him. "Yeah, right, tha--" the Doctor started, caught off-guard as Valek spun him with the greatest of ease.
The Doctor gritted his teeth, pulling angrily against the vampire's grip to no avail. "Let me go, what can I possibly offer you?" he asked through his teeth, blind with anger at the callous mention of the destruction of Gallifrey. "I've destroyed your kind before, don't think I won't do it again!" he threatened, forcing some strength into his tone that was not felt internally.
