The saleswoman nodded and turned toward the girl... who was now nearly buried in the jeans. "Maybe we should start with what size you wear," she suggested. "How old are you?"
Allana slowly peeked out from between the pile of clothing. She smiled and held up four fingers. "I'm this many," she stated matter-of-factly before looking to Jacen.
"Can I get some new shoes too, Jacen?" she questioned, wriggling her way out of the clothes. The saleswoman blinked, casting a curious glance toward the man who had just claimed to be the girl's father, before looking back to Allana and smiling.
"Okay. I bet you like the butterflies. I'll go see if we have any in your size, in the back." And off she went, as Allana stood on her tiptoes and tried to spy any shoes laying about that she could try on.
