Having secured a job that allowed for a steady schedule now, rather than shifts all over, Sarah had begun to look to reestablishing the other parts of the life she'd been pulled from, from friends to doing something good, like volunteer work. She didn't think she would be returning any time soon, knew in fact she could be here for years or just minutes if the talk of others had any weight, and it was time to stop waiting. At the theater, that volunteer work had come to her more often than she had gone to it, due to the programs they ran on the off-hours, but she wasn't opposed to going out to look.
She even had a location in mind.
Talk had spread about The Riverside Shelter, that they were apparently using theatrical aspects to raise morale of those they served and the idea appealed to Sarah. While her job wouldn't allow her to use her theatre background, something like this might just do so. She wouldn't mind what the theme was, as long as it would be something that people would enjoy. She could help both physically and emotionally by serving food in hungry bellies and putting smiles on faces and that was a very attractive concept.
Once in the door, she paused and looked around for someone to speak to about volunteering. She was dressed neatly, her clothes clean and well-made, so she likely wouldn't be mistake for someone who needed the shelter herself, but it was far from flashy appearance either.
