"You might be a grown man, but I can still take you over my knee," Angela said, pursing her lips as she glared up at him. Nathan certainly had the height advantage, but if she truly wanted to, she could make him as docile as a kitten. She hadn't used her power on her sons in years, and she had never used it on them in a way that was meant to control them. But there was a first time for everything.
"Perhaps if you actually listened to what I said, you wouldn't be so quick to jump to a false conclusion," Angela replied to his last statement, balling her fists at her sides. "And maybe if you were less myopic in your views and so intent to blame me, you would realize that there are several people responsible for what happened. Not just me."
