In the journey to World's End, Will had developed a great amount of respect for those that he had traveled with and those that they had rescued. Champions of the innocent and the helpless, who gave selflessly of themselves to see that others remained safe in a world where evil preyed on so many. He had greatly admired young Katara and her water abilities as well as her spirit. It hardly seemed fair that she was struck down so young and in such a way.

He closed his eyes and lowered his head, reciting a small prayer that he had learned in church when he was a boy and his mother had taken him, back when things were simple. As the 'amen' passed his lips, he looked up again, out at the ocean and the horizon beyond.
