Clark had shown up wearing his primary clothes, blue shirt under a red jacket. It had not taken him long to arrive here. As he stood among the other people, he had a solemn expression on his face. He was a bit stronger under the sunlight.. but he did not feel that way.
He had, on occasion, questioned himself when a life was lost. Asked himself if there was any way he could have stopped it, any way he could have prevented the event. He had lost quite a few people in his life.. and this was just one more loss.
He had not even known Katara that well. The only times he had been around her, aside from board postings, was in the couple fights the team had against evildoers. And yet, this loss was felt just as much as the others. The team had lost a good friend, the city had lost a great hero.
The alien farmboy stared a up at the sky, closing his eyes. Thinking. Contemplating. And after a few minutes, he looked back down. He mumbled under his breath, to himself, "Katara.. your deeds and kindness will never be forgotten. It will have meaning."
