Annie smiled brightly. "I told you that," she reminded her. "The bad man can't hurt you anymore." Reaching out, she gently patted Leia's hand before rising to her feet. Her gaze flickered to the window, brow furrowing a bit.
"He's not gone," she said, voice a near-whisper. She looked back to the other woman. "He's waiting. Hiding. But he's not gone."
Then she went still, her gaze going to the floor. A heartbeat later she looked back to Leia. "We have to go now," she stated simply. "Sister is waiting for me." The walls flickered as she spoke, the room slowly beginning to fade. Annie's smile returned.
"I'll see you soon," she promised. "In the real world. I can see it." She tapped her temple. "Up here."
