Annie turned so she could face Leia while still sitting beside her. Her movements were fluid and graceful, her smile still gentle and kind. "Now," she stated simply, "I help you."
She made no move to touch her. She simply met the other woman's gaze and held it. Outside, the blue sky began to darken and the girl's brow furrowed as the images running through Leia's mind also began to flicker within her own. They were horrible. There was no other way to describe it. Horrible, terrible, awful things that would haunt most people - especially a child - for years if not a lifetime.
Fortunately, though, Annie wasn't most people and she certainly wasn't a typical child. And while the images were indescribably horrendous, she didn't allow herself much time to dwell on them. Instead she continued to search through Leia's mind - her powers little more than a tickle as they grazed just across the surface so as not to intrude - until she finally found what she was looking for.
It wasn't a crack, really. Not in the way that people might consider a crack to be, at least. It was more a... weakened spot that Exar Kun had either created on his own, or simply found and exploited as he saw fit. However where he used darkness to do his bidding, Annie used goodness and light. Her intentions were pure and that purity easily chased the darkness away until all that remained was little more than a shadow where Kun's presence had once been.
Within the tower, a fierce wind blew through the room and caused Annie's long hair to whip around. "No," she murmured, voice filled with strength that belied her fifteen years alive. "No more!"
The last bit held a steely resolve and the wind abruptly stopped. The skies lightened, the blue returning and a calm once more filling the tower. After a few more seconds, Annie finally blinked and smiled at Leia once more. "Better?" she asked gently, curiously.
