Her body shuddered at the touch, the words nowhere near comforting. She tried desperately to cling to the earlier promise, that whatever the favour was it wouldn't marr her soul. Dawn nodded as Lucifer looked back at her. She would keep her word. It was all she had. She didn't mind what she had just done, she was sure that anything Buffy would say or do if she found out about this would be worse. Dawn had been saved so many times, she figured it was just her time to do the saving for once. Though that didn't help the giant sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.
Once Lucifer stepped through the door Dawn let the gravity of the situation overtake her. Her legs trembling she gave up for the moment and let herself sink to the floor, wrapping her arms around her. She wiped at her eyes. "She can never know," she whispered to Spike.
