Dawn looked to the man who entered the room, watching him mark the door, the way he treated the entire situation so casually. There was something off about the man that she couldn't quite put her finger on, something that sent a shiver up her spine. Somehow she didn't think that this would be good. She really didn't think the people who could wander through hell so easily were the kind of people you wanted to associate with.
And then the sensation of something passing through her snapped her eyes back to Spike, watching the woman walk up to him. The exchange was short, but long enough to make her sick to her stomach. Dawn's hand pressed to her mouth, the shock visible on her face as the blood poured from Spike's chest. She followed Spike's eyes to the man, swallowing hard against the bile that threatened to rise.
