Admittedly, her sudden shock and awe nearly caused him to step back, just to be on the safe side. He'd received many different reactions to his presence over the years, but this one was different. Almost like, well, admiration was the first word to come to his mind. And Obi-Wan wasn't sure how he felt about that. He supposed he should have been flattered, but there was something peculiar about being flattered over a reaction that came from parts unknown. He didn't understand why she was so astonished and -- Did he sense embarrassment?
And here he thought he'd become just another desert wanderer.
"Yes, though it has been some time since I've gone by that name."
The Clone Wars hadn't been so long ago that he'd nearly forgotten what it was like to be Obi-Wan the Jedi Knight as opposed to Ben the mad hermit in the outskirts, but it was a little nostalgic hearing it spoken out loud by another person.
"I hope you are not too offended if I say I do not recognize you."
He'd tried to place her face from somewhere in his past after she acknowledged knowing him, but she didn't fit. She didn't even fit one of the faces of the younglings who had lost their lives at the Jedi Temple to his former padawan. He supposed it was possible that she --
Obi-Wan's concentration was stunted when she spoke of Luke and Leia. Now it was his turn to convey an expression of shock, although his was more laced with confusion and disbelief than awe.
"That is..."
Impossible? He immediately thought of what Yoda would say if he were to presume that something were impossible. Impossible nothing is, Obi-Wan. With the Force, happen impossible things they do.
"I apologize, but what you say is difficult for me to accept."
